Graphic Designer & Brand Specialist

Grain & Berry is a rapidly growing fast-casual superfood brand known for handcrafted menu offerings, fresh ingredients, beautifully presented food, and genuine hospitality. As our franchise system continues to grow, we’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer to help bring our brand to life through thoughtful, strategic, and visually compelling creative.

 

Position Overview

The Graphic Designer serves as the primary creative resource for Grain & Berry’s marketing department, translating marketing strategy into impactful visual communications across digital, print, social media, in-restaurant, and franchise marketing channels.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role partners closely with the Brand Marketing Manager to develop creative assets that strengthen the Grain & Berry brand, support franchisees, and drive guest engagement. The ideal candidate understands that great design is more than making something look good - it’s about effectively communicating a message, influencing behavior, and supporting business objectives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving creative challenges, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can take a marketing brief and transform it into polished, on-brand creative across a variety of platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Creative Development

* Design compelling marketing materials across digital, print, email, social media, web, and in-restaurant channels.
* Translate marketing strategies and creative briefs into visually engaging campaigns that support business objectives.
* Develop creative assets including menus, point-of-purchase materials, promotional signage, advertisements, presentations, franchise marketing resources, loyalty assets, website graphics, and social media content.
* Ensure all creative aligns with Grain & Berry’s brand standards and maintains consistency across all customer touchpoints.
* Maintain and organize the company’s digital asset library.

Campaign Support

* Partner with the Brand Marketing Manager to develop creative concepts supporting national campaigns, Limited Time Offers (LTOs), seasonal promotions, new restaurant openings, and Local Restaurant Marketing initiatives.
* Prepare production-ready files for both digital and print applications.
* Coordinate with printers, vendors, agencies, and production partners as needed.

Brand Stewardship

* Help evolve and maintain Grain & Berry’s visual identity across all marketing channels.
* Recommend creative solutions that strengthen brand consistency and improve guest engagement.
* Stay current on design trends, consumer preferences, and creative best practices while ensuring all work remains authentic to the Grain & Berry brand.

Content Support

* Create graphics and visual assets supporting social media, loyalty marketing, email campaigns, digital advertising, and website merchandising.
* Assist with photography, video editing, and content creation as needed to support marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
* 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across both print and digital design.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
* Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, branding, and visual hierarchy.
* Experience designing for both print production and digital marketing.
* Excellent attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting restaurant, hospitality, franchise, retail, or consumer brands.
* Experience developing creative for integrated marketing campaigns.
* Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or other collaborative design platforms.
* Experience with basic photography, video editing, or motion graphics is a plus.
* Experience designing for social media, email marketing, websites, and digital advertising.
