JOB PURPOSE

  

Owns brand strategy, positioning, and go-to-market execution end-to-end for a new business — a builder role, shaping how a brand-new institute presents itself to the market from the ground up, not optimizing an existing one. Leads a 3-person in-house team (Social Media Manager, Graphic Designer, Brand Manager) and manages the external agency and vendor bench as and when required, reporting directly to the Institute Director.

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS (KRAS)

  

Enrolments — partners with Admissions on lead-to-admission conversion and enrolment targets

Category and competitive positioning — maps the competitive landscape and defines market-entry whitespace

Brand strategy, positioning, and messaging ownership across students and parents

Marketing budget planning and ownership with ROI accountability

End-to-end GTM planning and execution

Mainline/offline advertising + overall media execution

Agency and vendor management

Cross-functional alignment with Admissions, MarTech, Institute Director and Academic team

Team leadership and capability-building

  

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  

MBA / PGDM in Marketing (Tier 1/2 institute preferred)

  

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  

8-10 years in brand/marketing roles, including 3+ years leading a team. Prior experience in education, hospitality/travel/tourism category strongly preferred. Proven experience launching a new brand, campus, or vertical from scratch is a strong plus.

  

FUNCTIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  

Brand strategy and multi-channel GTM planning

AI-tool fluency and digital-first mindset in day-to-day execution

Budget management and vendor/agency negotiation

Working fluency in MarTech/CRM (GA4, CRM platforms, WhatsApp automation)

Stakeholder and cross-functional program management

  

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

  

High on ownership

Builder mindset — has stood up a brand or function from zero before will be a plus

Operates well in ambiguity with minimal hand-holding

Comfortable operating with no existing playbook or precedent to fall back on

Hands-on when needed, not purely a delegator

Able to build credibility with faculty/academic stakeholders
