Position Summary:

We are seeking an Intermediate UI/UX Designer to own the end-to-end design of our US-based customer’s web platform and data analytics dashboards. You will translate complex subsurface and real-time data into intuitive, actionable interfaces used by field engineers and operators. Working closely with engineering and product teams, you will play a key role in shaping the user’s experience of a cutting-edge AI-powered platform.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

Frontend Engineering & UI Architecture:

* Design and iterate on data-heavy dashboards and real-time monitoring interfaces
* Own the full design cycle: user research, wireframes, prototypes, and developer handoff
* Collaborate directly with software engineers and product stakeholders
* Build and maintain a consistent design system and component library
* Conduct user research with technical end-users including engineers and operators
* Translate business and technical requirements into clean, usable designs
* Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and perform well across devices
* Continuously iterate based on user feedback and usage data

 

Tools & Skills:

* Design & Prototyping: Figma (required), Adobe XD or Sketch (a plus)
* Data Visualization: Experience designing charts, maps, and telemetry dashboards
* Design Systems: Proven ability to build and maintain scalable component libraries
* Collaboration: Comfortable working in Agile teams alongside developers and PMs
* Handoff: Familiarity with developer handoff workflows and basic frontend concepts (HTML/CSS awareness a plus)

 

 Qualifications:

* 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS or data-intensive products
* Strong portfolio demonstrating complex data interface design
* Experience conducting user research and usability testing
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a lean team
* Strong communication skills, able to present and defend design decisions
* Experience in energy, industrial, or scientific software is preferred but not required
