Duties and Responsibilities

* Engage with stakeholders to find opportunities, understand requirements, and translate those requirements into mathematical models.
* Own end-to-end data workflows and develop deep domain expertise on the underlying actors and behaviors manifested through data
* Validate and maintain predictive statistical models on vehicle valuation and customer conversion throughout multiple points in a loan journey
* Acquire, organize and leverage insights derived from that data
* Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other data scientists
* Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
* Train, test, track, productionize, and improve models

 

Qualifications

* BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science
* 5+ years of related experience 
* Experience with gathering data, cleaning data, visualizing data, and modeling data.
* Experience with decision trees, segmentation, neural networks (bonus), feature engineering
* Experience with working with stakeholders to identify situations where a mathematical model would be appropriate, gathering data for training the model, training the model, testing the model, and preparing the model for production use
* Experience with a machine learning platform like TensorFlow or Pytorch
* Python / R
