Data Scientist (Freelance, 100% Remote)

ROLE OVERVIEW

 

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist (Freelance) to support one of our EU-based clients on a remote contract basis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical methods to extract insights, optimise decision-making, and develop data-driven solutions.

 

This is a B2B freelance engagement with full flexibility to work 100% remotely.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Analyse complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
* Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
* Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model performance evaluation.
* Create clear reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate findings.
* Support the client’s data strategy, ensuring scalability and reliability of solutions.
* Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI/ML and data science.

 

WHAT WILL MAKE US HAPPY 🤩

* Proven experience as a Data Scientist (3+ years in a similar role).
* Strong knowledge of Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch).
* Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
* Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data modeling.
* Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib/Seaborn).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a strong plus.
* Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively in English.

 

NICE TO HAVE

* Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
* Knowledge of MLOps frameworks for model deployment and monitoring.
* Familiarity with NLP, computer vision, or time series forecasting.
