We are Una, a mission-driven company tackling the ever-growing burden of metabolic disease.

 

We combine the latest medical research, data science, biosensor technology and human-centered design to enable sustainable enable sustainable behavior change and improve health outcomes.

 

We are developing the first medical-grade digital therapy to sustainably address metabolic disorders.

 

We are supported by Atlantic Food Labs and are part of their portfolio network, which includes some of the most inspiring startups in this in this field such as Clue, Meditopia, Cara Care and Casper as well as companies such as SoundCloud and Gorillas.

 

We are a fast-growing, fully remote team that is just getting started. There's a lot of opportunity to shape the direction of the product right from the start.

 

Tasks

 

The data science team is growing and pushing our tech to the next-level, so we're looking for a new AI Engineer! If you enjoy a fast-paced work environment, flat hierarchies, actually deploying to production and solve real-world problems, then you'll feel right at home.

 

From vision models, to chatbots and text analytics, our roadmap is packed with exciting projects and opportunities to experiment.

 

You will be responsible for researching, prototyping and owning AI systems running in production and interacting with real users.

 

While part of the Data Science team and the overall Engineering org, you will collaborate with other colleagues throughout the company to shape our AI vision.

 

Requirements

 

* 5–7 years industry experience
* Advanced knowledge in data science, information retrieval & extraction, natural language processing (NLP), especially proven track record of developing automated chat solutions
* Experience building, training, testing, evaluating (scoring) large language model (LLM) solutions such as chatbots and vision-to-text
* You are at the forefront of generative-AI advancements, and excited about exploring and applying this technology across digital care delivery
* Advanced understanding of a programming language in order to solve data-related challenges, preferably Python (and ability to leverage its ecosystem, e.g. using libraries like NumPy, SciPy, NLTK, TensorFlow, visualisation libraries, and so on)
* Good basic knowledge in data structures & algorithms
* Ability to work in a team that focuses on knowledge sharing, learning, and mentoring
* Good communication skills in English

 

Bonus skills

 

* Experience in healthcare or nutrition
* German language skills
* Experience deploying and monitoring machine learning systems in a production context
* Experience with MLOps (e.g., DVC, Metaflow, Feast, Tecton) and GitOps (e.g., DVC) workflows

 

Interview Process

 

1. Informal introductory call - 30 minutes
2. Take home technical challenge - 4 hours
3. Technical interview - 1 hour
4. Culture / values fit interview - 45 minutes
