Digital Content & Social Media Manager:

Addicted to Facebook/Instagram/Tiktok? Live to blog? Talented at creating original content? Passionate about curating communities? Got a knack for photography? We’re looking for someone who is fully immersed in the social media landscape, with proven experience in driving consumer engagement within online social networks. This person should possess an ability to create and manage high quality content for both social media as well as other elements of the business e.g. new product launches, product imagery and lifestyle creative.

The candidate is responsible for creating, developing and posting engaging content on a variety of social media platforms to foster a two-way relationship with consumers, create brand awareness and build brand equity. As well, this role generates rich content that supports key initiatives on the business.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage overall digital marketing strategy, programs, and content across all Sakura social channels. This includes social media calendar management, paid social advertising, social content creation, and channel moderation. This also includes content creation generally inclusive of product and lifestyle photography.

 

* Digital marketing strategy - Work with key stakeholders to create an editorial strategy and content calendar that is designed to steer the online conversation and elicit feedback. Proactively escalate issues, observations, opportunities, and insights to stakeholders
* Content Creation - Create copy, graphics, banners, and all necessary information for social media campaigns. Media/design scheduling, promotion, and monitoring on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, You Tube, TikTok and Web Pages. Stay up-to-date with new social media tools and best practices. Create and manage digital content including product and lifestyle photography. Some art creation a plus. Manage part time Tiktok Contractor to ensure Tiktok posts are high quality and on strategy.
* Community manager - Serve the community by listening and responding to consumer conversations, comments, issues or questions—both in public and in private. Carefully monitor and gather community chatter to improve future products, services and marketing campaigns
* Brand Ambassador - Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting special offers, events, coupons, product developments and other marketing campaigns
* Build loyalty - Connect to consumers and build the email list through emails and newsletters with messaging and offers of value. Manage the website keeping imagery fresh and blog writing. Wordpress a knowledge a plus.
* Influencer Program - Partner with Sakura Influencer program lead to continue to build strong Influencer program. Help identify product advocates and engage evangelists and influencers
* Performance Management/Analytics - Support goals/KPIs for websites and social tactics; Ensure proper measurement by generating social media analytics reports through tool Sprout; make recommendations on how to improve monthly to Leadership Team.

Qualifications Include:

* 2-3 Years CPG Brand or Digital Agency experience in digital content and social media with major digital platforms.
* Well versed with social media tools, trends and techniques
* Ability to produce content and creative. Copywriting experience a plus.
* Strong analytics: Understanding of digital marketing KPIs and ability to grasp how they fit into the overall story
* Possesses outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment; can be agile, scrappy, creative, and resourceful
* Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must be able to think strategically
* Able to work individually or in a team environment
* Bachelor’s degree
* Experience or interest in art or the arts is a plus!
