Job Description 
 
How will YOU make an impact 
 
We are currently recruiting a senior software engineer to join our R&D Software team in Vantaa to work with world-renowned Clinical and Industrial Analyzers! 
 
The current software team consists of a dozen software engineers working on both existing and upcoming products, but YOU will specifically be part of a new specialized team focusing on sustaining the software of the existing analyzer products on the market. 
 
The key parts of the software are a graphical user interface, a laboratory information system network connection, measurement calculation, a SQL database, and control of mechatronic sensors and actuators. 
 
What Will YOU Do 
 


* Maintain, develop, and unit test application-level software
* Collaborate with other specialists to define the functional and non-functional requirements
* Contribute to software architecture, design and interface definition as a team member
* Write software requirements, architecture and design in compliance with internal standard operating procedures as well as relevant medical device standards 
 
 

How Will YOU Get There 
 


* Minimum 3 years proven track record of designing and building maintainable, secure and robust software.
* Strong knowledge and experience of C# and .NET Framework (or another object-oriented programming language).
* Basic concepts of cyber security, DevOps, and SQL databases.
* Experience or strong interest in configuring Windows based PC images and operating system settings.
* Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles (e.g. SOLID) and Gang of Four Design Patterns.
* Experience working in Agile teams, using Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
* Proficient English both written and spoken. 
 
 

Qualifications Required 
 


* M.Sc. or Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent.
