Position Overview:

We’re seeking a resourceful Data Scientist – Generative AI to support the development and deployment of AI solutions that address real-world challenges across our insurance operations. This role will focus on building efficient, scalable GenAI tools, supporting use case teams through all phases of implementation, and helping optimize vendor partnerships and resource allocation. The ideal candidate will contribute to regulatory compliance, enhance AI training effectiveness, and help maximize the value of our Enterprise LLM across Subsidiary Operating Companies (SOCs).

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide a cost-effective alternate to “buying” GenAI vendor solutions.
• Provide additional support to use case teams during development, pilot, implementation phases.
• Increase the number of use cases ORI AI Team can support.
• Ensure SOC compliance with AI regulatory requirements and ethical AI practices.
• Enable consistent identification and evaluation of GenAI solutions across the enterprise.
• Optimize use case and vendor selection and enterprise resource allocation.
• Maximize the value from GenAI solutions and increase the potential to obtain more favorable rates from vendors.
• Maximize the benefit from Enterprise LLM to SOCs.
• Develop quick/simple AI solutions to SOC challenges.
• Increase efficiency of AI/GenAI solutions.
• Enable increase functionality of Enterprise LLM.
• Increase AI Training effectiveness and AI tool adoption which will increase the value of AI investment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, etc.
• 1-5 years of Data Science experience; GenAI exposure.
• Familiarity with property and casualty insurance.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
