We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. Your primary focus will involve researching and developing rapid solutions to drive action around improving quality, reducing cost, and delivering next best actions to consumers. We expect you to approach problem-solving with intention and intensity, embracing the concept of failing quickly and communicating clearly. Additionally, you will collaborate with other teams to integrate data science use cases into our analytics platform.
Demonstrated 3 to 5 years of experience in developing and delivering production data science solutions, with a clear understanding of the product development life cycle
Proven applied experience in implementing a variety of data mining and statistical methods, utilizing a range of big data tools, and constructing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms
Significant experience with standard data science coding languages and tools such as Python, R, SQL, Git, and SQL/NoSQL databases, among others
Familiarity with data science model maintenance and at least one cloud computing platform (such as AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
Expertise in rapid proof of concept development, encompassing data science research and experimentation, and translating results into next-generation solutions
Desire to collaborate in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, identify and explore data-driven solutions to problems, and engage in high-impact projects
Ability to effectively communicate technical work and results to a wide audience
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or other field related to Data Science
Experience in analyzing healthcare cost, utilization, and clinical data
Familiarity with Medicare and/or Medicaid pricing systems and methodologies
Basic familiarity with healthcare coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
Familiarity with data engineering, model deployment systems, CI/CD, etc
Experience or a strong interest in providing mentorship to junior data scientists
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and some nights
