Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a fully remote Mechanical Designer with over 5 years of experience who can independently take a project from start to finish with minimal guidance from a Professional Engineer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM, and should be adept at sizing ductwork, running load calculations, and performing heat calculations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage projects from initiation to completion.
• Design using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Size ductwork and perform load and heat calculations.
• Collaborate on projects varying from government facilities, hospitals, laboratories, to office buildings.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with BIM technology.
• Strong ability to perform load and heat calculations.
• Must be a US citizen as per client contracts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to undergo a federal drug and background test.
• Experience with government projects is a plus.

Work Environment

The position offers a fully remote work schedule, allowing flexibility and comfort while working for a Maryland-based company. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting government projects with a reputable company known for good compensation. The remote nature of the job provides the freedom to work from any location within the United States, as long as the candidate is a US citizen .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.67 - $60.10/hr.
