About Klimt & Design

Klimt & Design is a digital design and content agency serving clients across industries from early-stage startups to large enterprises. We create brand identity systems, websites, sales and marketing collateral, investor decks, and digital campaigns that help our clients communicate clearly and grow faster.

We’re known for high standards, fast turnarounds, and clear thinking. We work closely with our clients but always keep the end user in mind. Our team is remote-first. We value strong communication, proactive ownership, and people who know how to balance speed with craft.

We don’t need every candidate to have big-name experience. We care more that you’re thoughtful in your process, open to feedback, and capable of producing work that feels polished and purposeful.

What This Role Looks Like

We’re hiring a mid-level visual designer to support brand, website, and marketing design projects. You’ll work closely with creative leads who will provide direction and feedback, but you’ll be responsible for managing your own time and delivering production-ready work. You should be confident in your visual skills and familiar with common design patterns across B2B brands and marketing.

You’ll work on projects for a mix of startup, scale-up, and enterprise clients. You’ll be expected to communicate clearly, follow established processes, and flag any blockers early. You do not need to be client-facing, though interest or experience in that area is a plus. UX/UI experience is also a plus but not required for this role.

What You’ll Work On

  • Brand identity systems and visual refreshes
  • Website design for marketing sites and landing pages
  • Decks, one-pagers, conference materials, and investor presentations
  • Marketing assets such as digital ads, social graphics, and email visuals
  • Style guides and light design system work
  • Optional: UX/UI design for products, dashboards, or MVPs (if experienced)

What We’re Looking For

  • 3 to 5+ years of professional design experience
  • A portfolio that shows strong visual design skills across layout, typography, color, and hierarchy
  • Proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, components, and file organization
  • Experience working within and evolving brand guidelines
  • Ability to take direction and deliver independently
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency across deliverables
  • Strong time management and written communication skills
  • Comfort with fast-paced, multi-project environments

Bonus Points For

  • UX/UI design experience with examples of flows and product UI
  • Experience working with enterprise or regulated clients
  • Motion design or illustration skills
  • Mentoring or collaborating with junior team members
  • Experience in marketing design for high-growth companies

What You Can Expect From Us

  • Thoughtful creative direction and clear expectations
  • Fast feedback and documented SOPs for key workflows
  • A respectful, flexible, and results-oriented remote environment
  • A variety of clients and projects across industries
  • A team that values clarity, autonomy, and mutual respect

We expect designers to take full ownership of their deliverables, from file setup to QA. We rely on asynchronous updates, well-organized design files, and clear communication to keep projects moving. If you’re the kind of person who spots the typo before someone else does and fixes the spacing without being asked, you’ll thrive here.

How to Apply

To be considered, please submit the following:

  1. A link to your portfolio (required)
  2. A short note about why this role is a fit for you
  3. Your weekly availability and earliest start date
  4. Let us know: What’s your favorite recent design project and why?
  5. Tell us briefly how, if at all, you currently use AI tools in your design process
