We’re looking for a Director of Marketing (Player-Coach) who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. At Journyx, you’ll own demand generation end-to-end, partner with Sales to drive pipeline growth, and help shape the direction of a B2B SaaS company on the cusp of acceleration.

Why This Role Exists

We’re a profitable B2B SaaS company entering a focused vertical growth phase, and we’re ready for a hands-on marketing leader to take our demand generation to the next level.

As our Director of Marketing, you’ll own demand gen end-to-end: from strategy through execution. You’ll work closely with Sales to grow qualified pipeline and revenue, manage our SEM agency, and shape our marketing foundation for scale. You’ll also have a true voice in company strategy as part of the leadership team.

Our current Director of Marketing is transitioning into a consulting role and may be available to help with onboarding and transition.

What Success Looks Like

In 6 months, you’ve:

  • Built a quarterly demand plan tied to revenue targets.
  • Established weekly pipeline reporting and an actionable Answer Engine Optimization plan.
  • Lifted MQL and pipeline delivered rates by ~10–20%.
  • Delivered a steady cadence of high-impact content (thought leadership, case studies, vertical landing pages).
  • Improved HubSpot ↔ MS Dynamics 365 CRM hygiene and reporting.

In 12 months, you’ve:

  • Increased sourced and influenced pipeline by 20–30%.
  • Delivered a reliable, forecastable pipeline with clear attribution.
  • Improved CAC payback and conversion rates across the funnel.
  • Created 2–3 repeatable, metrics-driven playbooks for scalable growth programs (e.g., paid search, ABM-light, partner co-marketing).

What You’ll Do (Player-Coach)

  • Own demand gen strategy — build and execute quarterly channel plans and budgets tied to revenue goals.
  • Run paid search & social — manage experiments, briefs, budgets, and performance with our SEM agency.
  • Optimize our website & conversions — lead SEO/AEO/SEM alignment, landing page testing, and CRO improvements.
  • Build our content engine — drive a consistent flow of thought leadership, case studies, webinars, and comparison pages that power inbound and enable Sales.
  • Enhance lead management — improve scoring, nurturing, and automation in HubSpot to accelerate the buyer journey.
  • Partner with Sales & RevOps — refine ICPs, monitor pipeline quality, and ensure HubSpot/MS Dynamics CRM alignment.
  • Plan events/tradeshows — execute 2–4 focused events annually with measurable ROI.
  • Own reporting & attribution — build dashboards that connect marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, and ROI.
  • Shape brand & messaging — refine positioning for our core verticals and ensure consistency across channels.
  • Lay the groundwork for scale — document playbooks and identify future team hires.

What You Bring

  • 6–10+ years in B2B SaaS demand generation, with meaningful hands-on execution (not just agency oversight).
  • Proven ability to tie marketing programs to pipeline, ARR, and CAC metrics.
  • Strong marketing ops skills: HubSpot, GA4, CRM (MS Dynamics 365 or Salesforce), and spreadsheet-level analysis.
  • Skilled at writing persuasive copy for web, ads, and email—translating technical value into business outcomes.
  • Direct experience running paid search and social campaigns (Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn).
  • Excellent collaboration with Sales; comfortable presenting to executives and boards.
  • Strategic thinker with a “get stuff done” and “figure it out” mentality.

Nice to Have:

  • Vertical or ABM experience in asset-intensive or field-heavy industries.
  • Familiarity with webinar programs or intent data tools.
  • Basic design capability (Figma or Canva) for agile content creation.
