This role offers the opportunity to directly impact athlete performance analytics by developing advanced software tools for biomechanical data capture and analysis. You will work on client-facing and internal tools used for data collection, processing, calibration, and annotation, helping teams leverage performance insights in real time. The position involves optimizing existing software, integrating cloud-based solutions, and collaborating with hardware and product development teams. You will be instrumental in evolving tools for cross-platform use and other biomechanics-related markets. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for sports technology, strong C++ expertise, and experience working on both cloud and hardware-integrated software projects. This remote role provides exposure to high-level, real-world applications in professional sports and the chance to influence product development strategy.

Accountabilities:

Develop and maintain client-facing and internal tools for data acquisition, processing, and quality assurance
Optimize software tools within cloud environments to improve efficiency and scalability
Adapt existing tools for new biomechanics-related markets and cross-platform use
Improve or implement hardware/software interfaces for current or future devices
Integrate data from multiple sources using API concepts to enhance data contextualization
Collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure reliable software performance
Identify and resolve software defects, including memory leaks and performance bottlenecks
Conduct quality assurance testing and document changes to ensure production readiness

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in C++ software engineering, including production use of the Qt framework
Experience shipping and maintaining cross-platform desktop applications (Windows and Linux)
Hands-on experience integrating with commercial cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Proven work integrating and troubleshooting hardware interfaces such as high-speed cameras, force plates, or motion capture systems
Proficiency in implementing data ingestion and integration using third-party APIs
Professional experience with Git version control in a collaborative environment
Knowledge of performance tuning and memory optimization in C++
Preferred: Python programming and frontend frameworks such as React
Preferred: Experience with SQL databases, including MySQL
Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
Sports technology or motion capture experience is highly desirable
Passion for sports and using athlete performance metrics to drive insights
