You are a self-starter with a proven track record of driving growth and enhancing brand visibility. You have prior success in a senior marketing role, overseeing a comprehensive suite of marketing functions, including website management, events, social media, corporate communications, and brand management.

Location: This role can be based in Syracuse, NY, Washington, DC or performed remotely on the East Coast.

Responsibilities

Website Management:

  • Oversee the management and optimization of the company website to enhance user experience and drive traffic.
  • Implement strategies to improve AI and search rankings and visibility.

Social Media

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand presence and engagement, including authoring editorial content as required.
  • Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies to stay relevant and effective.

Corporate Communications

  • Direct corporate communications efforts to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all channels.
  • Manage internal communications to keep employees informed and engaged.

Event Management

  • Support execution of company events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Ensure events align with marketing strategies and business goals, driving engagement, leads, and brand awareness.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Work closely with the sales and product teams to ensure marketing strategies align with business goals.
  • Serve as a bridge between clients, the sales team, and the engineering team to provide clear, prioritized feedback for product development.

What We’re Looking For

Proven Marketing Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in managing comprehensive marketing strategies for defense technology companies.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and brand management.
  • Proven focus on developing and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive marketing effectiveness and business growth.

Editorial Proficiency

  • Proven ability to produce precise, compelling content across platforms—from short-form social posts to comprehensive articles and reports—aligned with defense-sector standards and sensitivities.
  • Skilled at distilling complex defense technologies and strategic concepts into clear, mission-aligned messaging for varied stakeholders, including policymakers, military partners, and the public.

  • Embrace a proactive approach, valuing speed and calculated risk-taking to achieve business goals.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years proven experience in managing comprehensive marketing strategies for defense technology companies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related technology field.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and brand management.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Capability to produce dynamic editorial pieces, from briefs to features.
  • Experience with social media and web management applications.
  • Travel 10-15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior engagement in Defense Tech sector
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience managing marketing efforts in a remote environment.

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options.

Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $120,000 to $150,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer
