The Strategic Marketing Manager drives the market mapping, planning, strategy, branding, and communications within their market segment. The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying effective marketing solutions to sell products, enhance and maintain the organization's brand image, retain existing customers, attract new customers, and drive revenue creation. The Strategic Marketing Manager drives value to the organization by ensuring these strategic activities and processes are properly communicated and followed throughout the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the commercial team in the creation of a strategic business plan to target sales growth for their segment.
Own the 6-15 month forecast for the segment.
Directionally drive goals for their segment to align with broader organizational goals.
Maintain a rolling five-year plan that addresses all capability and capacity needs to support the strategic plan.
Provide review segment’s strategic markets, trends, drivers, outlook, market position, and competitive landscape.
Participate in and facilitate Blueprinting and other customer and potential customer discovery work.
Provide input to the marketing communications team for the preparation of marketing collateral, website management, social media, trade show, and other demand generation campaigns.
Collaborate with the Strategic Planning & Marketing Director to understand future marketplace trends, market needs, competitor data, regulatory environment, company product share and product performance in support of strategic planning and GROW (Innovation) processes.

Marketing plan for assigned segment established and implemented across the organization.
Increase the effective scope of prospects in the sales funnel.
Increase the amount and rate of new customers closed.
Increase process automation to create efficiency and reduce costs.
Increase market share of company product and target segment.
Increase brand recognition of the company.
Increase volume of product sold.
Increase the margin dollars collected on business.
Increase gross margin on the pounds of product being sold.
Experience & Education
Minimum of 3 Years of experience successfully leading effective marketing strategy in a fast-paced business environment.
3-5 years direct experiences with auto industry and understands the business operation, value chain, global and regional trends, and vehicle development cycle.
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree program with a focus on Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Chemical or Engineering is preferred.
3-5 years direct experience in the materials industry is preferred.
Previous experience/knowledge of operating within the plastics or polymer industries preferred.
Experience exhibiting, influencing, and giving talks in the plastics industry space (SPE , Plastics Engineers, Vinyl Institute, etc., ) is preferred.
May be required to travel up to 50% of the time.
