Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Software Engineer (.NET Core / C#) to join their team in Los Angeles, CA!
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement the backend architecture of firm’s new Credit Screener application.
- Lead the architecture, development, and integration efforts using the .NET framework and Azure-based databases and services.
- Define the system architecture and build secure and scalable API integrations.
- Optimize data flow between Bloomberg and internal systems.
- Collaborate with firm’s technology and investment teams to ensure the application meets performance, compliance, and business requirements.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years in .NET Core / C# application design and development.
- Proven experience architecting and developing data integration applications using Bloomberg APIs (Desktop, SAPI, or B-PIPE) — including understanding of Bloomberg data licensing, entitlements, and compliance requirements.
- Strong background in cloud-based architecture, preferably with Microsoft Azure, including experience with: Azure App Services / Functions; Azure SQL; Azure Key Vault and Azure Active Directory integration; Azure Event Hub, Service Bus, or Data Factory for data pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices for real-time or batch data flows.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, caching, and performance optimization for high-volume financial data.
- Experience implementing secure authentication, authorization, and encryption practices for API-based data exchange.
- Familiarity with financial markets data, particularly fixed income or credit instruments, preferred.
- Strong skills in DevOps and CI/CD automation, using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, data, investment professionals) to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate: $55.00/hr
