About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Golang and hands-on experience working with Generative AI technologies. This role will support an upcoming project within our Customization Team, focused on leveraging editorial content through innovative AI-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for backend engineering, AI integration, and scalable architecture design. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing microservices and workflows that harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs).

Core Qualifications & Required Skills

(1) Backend Development & Go Expertise:

• Strong experience in backend development with a primary focus on Go (Golang) in production-grade environments.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.

(2) Generative AI & LLM Integration:

• Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock).
• Ability to design and implement workflows leveraging LLMs for summarization, classification, and content generation.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and effective management of model outputs.

(3) Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests using Go testing frameworks.

(4) Cloud & Infrastructure:

• Experience deploying and managing services in AWS (preferred), including Lambda, ECS, and S3.

(5) Database & Data Handling:

• Strong experience with MySQL/SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
• Understanding of data privacy and security best practices when handling sensitive data.

(6) Version Control & DevOps:

• Proficient with Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing and deployment strategies.

(7) Languages:

• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or C2) with proven success collaborating in global, English-speaking environments.

(8) Nice to Have Skills:

• Python experience, particularly for LLM API integration, scripting, or data preprocessing.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization best practices for local development and deployment.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, agile team.
• Comfortable collaborating across time zones and with cross-functional teams (product, design, ML engineering).
• Proactive problem-solver with curiosity for emerging technologies and continuous learning.

Additional Information

• Preferred location: Peru. Open to Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, or Colombia (must be legally authorized to work in these countries without sponsorship).
• 6+ month contract with possibility of renewal depending on business needs and personal performance.
• Hourly pay in USD.
