Glacier Technologies is looking for an enthusiastic and adept Power Platform developer to assist in creating an advanced tool to aid scientists, researchers, and technicians in a large natural resource agency. You would join our team and play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, developing, and rolling out a low-code application that seamlessly integrates intricate scientific research, formulas, and data to provide real-time, accurate, accessible, actionable information to the users. Technical Skills and Experience:
- Deep Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform: Proficiency with Power Apps (both canvas and model-driven apps), Power Automate (for automations), and Power Pages (for web development). Experience in customizing and extending capabilities through custom connectors, API integrations, and Power Fx scripting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse: Understanding of how to structure, manage, and access data effectively in Dataverse, which is often central to app development in the Power Platform ecosystem.
- Experience with Accessibility Standards: Detailed knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and how they apply within the Power Platform to ensure applications are accessible to users with disabilities, aligning with Section 508 compliance.
- Understanding of Advanced Formulas and Scientific Computations: Capability to implement complex scientific formulas within Power Apps, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This might involve translating mathematical models into Power Fx, leveraging Excel-like expressions, or integrating with external computation engines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A portfolio of previous work that demonstrates your expertise and accomplishments in relevant projects.
