About the role:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior UI/UX Designer to define and elevate the user experience for our next generation of intelligent AI Agents and Copilots. This role is focused on designing seamless, intuitive, and effective conversational and visual interfaces for agents consumed across diverse enterprise channels, including web portals, embedded Microsoft applications, and custom line-of-business applications. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex AI logic (built in Copilot Studio/Power Platform) and accessible, human-centric design.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years focused on conversational interfaces, chatbots, or AI assistants.
- Advanced English, experienced working in English-speaking environments.
- Expert proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong understanding of fundamental conversational design principles (NLU, context management, prompt engineering basics).
- Experience designing interfaces that adapt flawlessly to different contexts (desktop chat window, mobile app embedded widget, full-screen dashboard).
- Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of the Microsoft Power Platform (Copilot Studio, Power Apps) and display technologies like Adaptive Cards or standard web frameworks.
Nice to have:
- Experience designing for legal, finance, or highly technical enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) as they apply to chat and interactive interfaces.
- Experience or certification in front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better bridge design and implementation.
Scope of Work:
- Omni-Channel Design Strategy: Lead the design and implementation of consistent UI/UX standards for AI Agent interactions across multiple consumption points:
- Portals: Web-based interfaces (e.g., SharePoint, custom websites).
- Microsoft Apps: Embedded experiences within Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other M365 applications.
- Embedded Applications: Integration into custom-built mobile or desktop applications.
- Conversational Design (CX): Design and map natural, multi-turn conversational flows and dialogue trees, including:
- Defining the agent's persona, tone, and response style.
- Designing effective error handling, ambiguity resolution, and graceful handoffs to human support.
- Information Design & Visualization: Design how complex outputs from AI analysis (e.g., risk reports, JSON data, compliance deviations) are visually presented to the user in a clear, digestible format (e.g., using Adaptive Cards, data tables, and summary dashboards).
- Prototyping & Testing: Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and user journey maps. Conduct user research and A/B testing specifically focused on AI interaction effectiveness, prompt optimization, and trust-building measures.
- Collaboration: Work directly with Systems Engineers and AI Developers to ensure designs are technically feasible within the constraints of platforms like Copilot Studio and Power Platform components.
