The Role
Reporting to the COO, the Data Engineer will take the lead in building and owning data infrastructure at WeMod. This data ecosystem is crucial for powering analyses, guiding business decisions, accelerating growth, and driving efficiency across business operations. This function combines strategic, operational, and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done and drive change across the organization.
Responsibilities
Design and implement efficient, reliable data pipelines (ETL) across analytics, frontend, and backend systems
Identify and address gaps in existing data systems and operational processes
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and build scalable data solutions
Create impactful dashboards and data visualizations
Qualifications
3-5 years experience with SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
3-5 years experience with modern data stack tools like Bigquery, Airbyte, Airflow, dbt, Rudderstack, Amplitude, and Hex
Background in data architecture, modeling, and schema design
Experience leading data-driven projects from conception to execution
Ability to work asynchronously in a fully-remote, distributed team
Bias for action and urgency, with a "full-stack mindset" to solve problems end-to-end
Bonus: Experience with game analytics, startup environments, or quantitative analysis
