Role Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Senior React Native / Expo Engineer to help shape the future of Parrot AI, an innovative consumer AI entertainment app. Our app allows users to create engaging videos, voiceovers, and image pranks to share with friends. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing our mobile-first, AI-driven media platform, which is already live on iOS, Android, and the web.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine React Native / Expo screens and user flows for our mobile app.
• Enhance video, audio, image, and media generation experiences for users.
• Work with Firebase / Firestore to manage data models and real-time updates.
• Integrate AI and media APIs to improve content creation features.
• Optimize upload, loading, sharing, and result experiences to ensure seamless user interactions.
• Implement analytics events to track product funnels and user engagement.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs across iOS, Android, and web-linked flows.
• Enhance app performance, reliability, and user experience quality.
• Collaborate closely with the founder to iterate rapidly on product features.

Required Skills

• Expertise in React Native and Expo.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
• Experience with Firebase and Firestore.
• Knowledge of Node.js and mobile app debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with GitHub and a PR-based workflow.

Nice to Have

• Experience with consumer mobile apps and media-rich products.
• Familiarity with OpenAI or other AI/media APIs.
• Knowledge of RevenueCat, Branch/deep links, and Mixpanel.
• Understanding of App Store and Play Store release processes.
• Skills in performance optimization for React Native apps.
