iollo is an at-home metabolomics test to extend your healthy lifespan. We measure more than 500 biomarkers in blood and use AI to automatically match you with dietary, behavioral, and therapeutic interventions.
Job Description
You will collaborate with scientists, product and design on building out our core user-facing app. You will be responsible for leading and scoping out the technical aspects of features across the stack and will help leadership prioritize features on the roadmap.
- Design, develop and support projects throughout all phases of the software development life cycle
- Participate in all aspects of the product development life cycle including requirement/design reviews as well as code reviews.
- Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes
- Identify project risks and work effectively to mitigate them
- Ship new features that businesses and customers are asking for
- Help customers succeed with integration support
- Find and help fix stability/scalability issues in a very time critical environment
- Experience with LLMs, or willing to learn new LLM techniques from the team quickly
- Independently come up with solutions and execute them
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate cross functionally
- Experience with early-stage startups, ideally seed-stage
What you'll need
- Strong programming background — 3+ years of experience shipping features or products as a full-stack web developer
- Motivated to work on the highest priority feature no matter where in the stack
- Passionate about software engineering best practices such as unit testing, code review, design documentation
- High level of autonomy designing and developing features independently
- Comfortable with testing a variety of novel cutting-edge tools to get the job done more effectively, and ability to prototype quickly with new tools
- Excited about integrating AI tools wherever possible to maximize efficiency
- Enthusiastic about implementing and improving on product design, strong frontend skills
- Excellent English proficiency

Infrastructure:
The backend stack is deployed on AWS (EC2, ECS, Fargate, S3, App Runner, Cognito, Aurora PostgreSQL). Deployments are done with AWS CDK. The frontend stack is deployed on Vercel.
