We are a fast-growing, AI-first startup operating across multiple markets in the GCC. We are looking for one exceptional senior developer to own the technical build of our agentic AI platform from the ground up.

This is not a feature-ticket role. You will be the technical brain of the platform.

The Role

You will design, build, and maintain a production-grade agentic AI system — LLM pipelines, RAG infrastructure, multi-agent orchestration, and the backend platform that supports it all. You work directly with the founder. No layers, no committees.

What We Need

AI and LLM — this is the core of the role

• Production RAG pipeline experience — chunking strategies, embedding models, pgvector or equivalent, retrieval tuning, hallucination control
• Agentic workflow design — LangGraph or equivalent, state machines, tool calling, interrupt/resume, multi-agent orchestration
• Prompt engineering at depth — structured outputs, Pydantic validation, cost management, confidence thresholds, fallback cascades
• LLM cost architecture — per-message, per-conversation, and global ceiling enforcement. You have built this, not just read about it.

Backend

• Python 3.11+ / FastAPI — production systems, not tutorials
• PostgreSQL — RLS, pgvector, PostGIS, Alembic, query optimisation
• Redis — atomic operations, Celery broker, pub/sub
• Docker, GitHub Actions CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare, Hetzner, or equivalent)

Testing discipline

• Testcontainers, pytest, adversarial test design
• Mock-first development — every external integration ships with a mock

• You have shipped agentic AI systems to production — not demos, not prototypes
• You read a spec before writing a single line of code
• You surface contradictions rather than guessing through them
• You think about failure modes, not just happy paths
• You use AI tools daily and know exactly where they help and where they mislead
