THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Staff Software Engineer to lead the development and delivery of impactful software solutions used daily by teachers and students. This role offers the chance to shape Athena AI’s technical strategy and bring a transformative product to life in classrooms across the globe.

YOU WILL:

• Product Development: Design, develop, and optimize our platform to enhance teacher productivity and engagement.
• Full-stack Development: Build intuitive front-end interfaces using React and robust back-end solutions leveraging Python and frameworks like Flask.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and scale AWS resources while ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and efficient.
• Collaboration: Partner with the engineering team, leadership, and designers to develop new features and refine existing ones.
• Technical Leadership: As a key team member, define and uphold best engineering practices, set foundational standards, and mentor others.

YOU HAVE:

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python and React, along with experience using back-end frameworks like Flask.
• Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS, including deployment and resource management.
• Engineering Excellence: At least 7 years of software development experience, with a strong understanding of full-stack and cloud-based applications.
