I’m Matt Gowie (LinkedIn) and I run Masterpoint Consulting, which is myself + ace specialists as needed. I am certified as an AWS Solutions Architect and Hashicorp Terraform associate. I’ve been working with AWS for ~6 years and I’ve been consulting for ~3.5 years. I primarily focus my consulting on AWS Cloud, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and general DevOps / CI / CD work. I’ve also got plenty of experience leading engineering teams, managing people, designing good software, and generally solving my folks headaches so I bring a lot else to the table!

I'm a big fan of mentoring and I've done it both in and outside of work for a handful or more different junior engineers. I enjoy the process of helping others understand the programming world and it's a great way for me to put my own knowledge into practice.

Outside of the tech world, I'm big into rock climbing, punk/hardcore music, and traveling.
